Bee propolis, a natural remedy for Malaria
By BeeWorld on Jan 1, 2009 in Bee Propolis Health Benefits
Malaria is a chronic infectious disease, common in tropical and subtropical regions. It is caused by protozoan parasites of the genus Plasmodium, transmitted by infective female Anopheles mosquito. The parasites multiply within red blood cells, causing symptoms that include symptoms of anemia, fever, chills, nausea, flu-like illness, and, in severe cases, coma, and death.
Malaria is treated with antimalarial drugs, of which ones are prophylactic and other therapy drugs.
Natural treatments for Malaria are:
- Beta-carotene with Vitamin E: a powerful antioxidant that helps resist infection and repairs body tissues,
- Bee propolis: helps fight any infection and strengthens the immune system,
- Garlic-thyme: a powerful natural antibiotic,
- Aloe Vera gel/juice: has anti-inflammatory effect, works as pain inhibitor and cell regenerator.

Bee Propolis is 100% effective against some lethal protozoa and will also decrease inflammation associated with parasite infection. It is a natural antibiotic, found in leaf buds and bark of some trees. Bees collect it and add their own enzymes to line their hives, making their environment sterile. Propolis has shown to create an antibiotic disease-fighting reaction to almost any illness, stimulating the thymus gland, and enhancing the body’s immune system.
