Bee Propolis (Apis mellifera) is a form of resin that honey bees collect from bark and tree leaves. Worker bees combine the resin with pollen, nectar and wax to form a sticky substance, used to sterilize their hive and protect it against infections. It is also used to seal cracks in the hive, which is why Propolis is also called Bee Glue. Other names for Bee Propolis are bee putty, Bienenharz (German), Brazilian green propolis, Brazilian propolis, Bulgarian propolis, Propolin H, caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE), WSDP, cera alba, chizukit, cinnamic acid, terpenes, galangin, Greek propolis, hive dross, propolis balsam, propolis resin, propolis wax, propolisina (Spanish), Russian penicillin, Taiwanese propolis and WSDP.
Bee Propolis is a traditional medicine and has been used for centuries and for various conditions. It has shown shown to improve academic performance, boost body’s own immune system, treat acne and skin conditions such as dermatitis and speed up wound healing and tissue regeneration after surgery. Known as a skin rejuvenator (it is full of anti-oxidants), it also helps in UV-induced erythema (sunburn) prevention. It acts as an anticoagulant and therefore helps prevent blood clots. It is used as medicine for high and low blood pressure, it has anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant and anti-spasm effect, and has been successfully used to cure bowel diseases, cancer and colorectal cancer and has even shown to help in corneal regeneration, Crohn’s disease, dilation of veins (acts as vasorelaxant), diverticulitis, duodenal ulcers, eczema, HIV, hyperglycemia (high blood sugar levels), immunomodulatory diseases, laryngitis (sore throat) and leukemia. It also helps protect liver and provides protection against harmful bacteria. It has been successfully used in treating nasopharyngeal carcinoma, osteoporosis, prostate carcinoma, pruritus (itching), psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, thyroid disease, tuberculosis, and ulcerative colitis.

Brazilian Green Propolis is considered to be the best propolis in the world. It gained such value because of its composition - it contains high levels of flavonoids and phenolic particles that increase our body resistance to infections and diseases. Modern herbalists recommend its use for its antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory and anti-ulcer properties.
Propolis Tablets can provide an additional insurance against all kinds of infections. If taken daily, they will assure vital anti-oxidant protection, boost the body’s immune system and make it less prone to colds, bronchial complaints and stomach ulcers.
Nature has provided us with a beneficial natural food supplement rich in flavonoids, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Bee Propolis is gathered by bees from the leaf buds and bark of trees and is used to maintain and disinfect the hive.
