Propolis and pregnancy
By BeeWorld on Dec 31, 2008 in Word of caution
While Bee Propolis showed to be very effective in the treatment of infertility associated with mild endometriosis, caution should be exercised during time of pregnancy and breast-feeding. It is advised to avoid Bee Products - Honey, Bee Pollen and Royal Jelly - during pregnancy.
The effects of Propolis during pregnancy and breast-feeding have not been sufficiently evaluated, but since Propolis is known to be a sensitizing agent, it could cause development of allergies, therefore it is best not to use it during these times unless directed to do so by a physician.
